BEERKART

Find your racing line. Hold your drift. Save an item for the last corner.

Race in 3D from your browser, or let your kart drive while you call the shots in Twitch chat.

01 / GET RACING

Your next grid.

Choose your driver name, kart and race class in the garage. Start with 80cc · Pub Crawl for a gentler pace; move up to 120cc or 150cc when you know the course.

Grand Prix
Race a multi-course championship and build your points total.
Single Race
Pick one of the six authored BeerKart courses.
Time Trial
Attack a three-lap run and improve your course record.
Venue Challenge
Take on the authored courses’ missions and earn medals.

Race with the stream

Use Open Lobby & Join, then choose Join Live Race or Join Next Grid. Browsing the lobby does not reserve a kart. If a race is underway or the grid is full, you’ll spectate until a slot opens.

Live races use the server’s course, grid and race rules. The shared race class is locked once countdown begins.

01B / BATTLE LOBBY

No laps. Land a hit.

Choose Battle in the main menu. Pick Brewery Brawl, Dockyard Scrap or the two-level Cellar Clash, set the round length and bot fill, then ready up. Your garage kart, driving controls and sound settings carry over.

Each unblocked hostile item hit earns one point. You have three durability pips; a knockout returns you after three seconds with full durability and two seconds of protection. Using an item ends protection. Highest score when the clock stops wins; equal leaders share the result. Solo practice is not a competitive win.

Recover Kart in the Battle menu costs one point, down to zero, and uses the normal respawn delay. Battle awards no race rewards, cup points, time-trial records or challenge medals.

Battle pickups include Bottle, Keg, Foam, Spill, Shield, Goggles, Turbo and Six-Pack. Bottle fires forward; Keg follows a visible nearby target; Foam and Spill stay behind you. Walls and separate decks block attacks. Last Orders, Hiccups, Lime Wedge, Round and Corkscrew are excluded from this battle pool; the race item list below is unchanged.

Play or watch an online battle

Open Play Online with Friends, create a lobby and share its code. Friends join that code and ready up; the host controls setup and start. Late arrivals wait for the next round. The shared countdown waits for participants to load the arena. Opening your menu does not pause an online battle.

Use that lobby’s 2D OBS, 3D View or Broadcast links to watch its exact session without entering a kart. These links include battleSession; ordinary spectator links below still follow racing.

Battle chat needs the stream operator to connect a dedicated relay to your online room. Your Twitch kart drives itself, but waits for !bkitem to use its pickup. Ordinary racing chat does not select a Battle room; lane, horn and race directives are unavailable in Battle. Ask the operator which Battle join/leave commands are enabled. Human autopilot controls described below currently apply to racing.

02 / CONTROLS

Make the corner.

These are the default bindings. Rebind the six driving actions under Controls & Accessibility in the garage.

In menus: D-pad or left stick to move, A / Start to select, B / Back to return. Button names follow a standard gamepad layout and may differ on your controller.

Sound controls are also available under Controls & Accessibility and in the pause / race menu. Your sound preference is saved on this browser.

Turn a drift into a boost

At speed, steer into the corner while holding drift. Keep the slide on the road to build charge, then release drift while grounded for a mini-turbo. Balancing your steering against the slide charges it faster. On a jump, use drift while airborne to queue a landing trick boost.

Online races keep running. Pausing a local race freezes it. Opening the race menu online does not stop the server or the other racers.

On a phone or tablet

Slide the steering pad to steer. Hold GAS to accelerate, or DRIFT to accelerate and drift. Hold BRAKE to slow down, tap ITEM to use your pickup, and tap for the race menu. Touch controls appear when you control a kart. In Steering & Touch Setup, choose your button hand (the steering pad moves to the opposite side) and small, medium or large steering size.

Steering setup

Autopilot drives and uses items for your player in Grand Prix, Single Race and online races. Toggle it in Controls & Accessibility or the pause / race menu, with O, or with your configured controller button. Your player identity and place stay yours. Release driving controls before taking over manually. Local pause freezes autopilot; an online race keeps running. Autopilot is unavailable in Time Trial and Venue Challenge.

Controller item and autopilot buttons can be changed in Steering & Touch Setup. Start and Back keep their fixed menu roles. Conflicting item / autopilot assignments swap. Other driving functions on a custom button remain active; choose a spare button if you want a dedicated action. Reset Controller Buttons restores X for items and Y for autopilot, separately from keyboard and steering settings.

Open Controls & Accessibility → Steering & Touch Setup in the garage. Sensitivity sets steering strength for every input. Deadzone filters a resting stick; a higher response curve softens its centre. Higher stick response and keyboard turn / return rates reach the requested direction or centre sooner. Touch steering uses a slightly slower stick response. These settings are saved in this browser, separately from key bindings. Existing legacy 3D steering and touch preferences are carried over when no v2 preference exists. Reset Steering & Touch restores the tuned defaults without resetting keys or sound.

Comfort settings

Reduce or disable camera feedback, impact flashes and haptics, or enable the high-contrast HUD in Controls & Accessibility. Phone vibration depends on browser support. Choose Balanced or Stream Safe graphics if you need a lighter render.

03 / TWITCH CHAT

You call the shots.

Your Twitch kart steers and accelerates itself. Its held item waits for your command.

!bkjoin
Request the next available grid. Entry lasts one race—join again for the next round.
!bkitem
Use the item you’re holding. 8-second cooldown.
!bkhorn
Give the pack a honk. 6-second cooldown.
!bklane l
!bklane r
Bias your kart left or right for six seconds. 10-second cooldown.

Item, horn and lane commands need an active race and your kart on the grid. No item to use yet? Collect a box first. The stream’s Twitch relay must be connected for chat racing.

04 / THE ITEM BOX

A little corner insurance.

Drive through a box when your item slot is empty. Your position influences the pickup mix. Most items wait until a hit-spin ends; Lime Wedge can help you recover during one.

Hop Rocket
A short speed boost with a brief dodge window.
Six-Pack Surge
A longer boost for making up ground.
Beer Bubble
A temporary shield to absorb an incoming hit.
Rolling Keg
A forward projectile that can home toward a reachable racer ahead.
Foam Slick
Drop a slippery trap behind your kart.
Last Orders
Disrupt racers ahead. Shields and phasing can protect them.
Bankshot Bottle
A fast aimed shot that can bounce off course rails. Called Flying Bottle in chat.
Hiccups
Disrupt a valid racer ahead. Keep it until a target is available.
Lime Wedge
Clear hiccups, shorten a spin and get a recovery boost.
Spill Puddle
Leave a short-lived slowing puddle behind you.
Beer Goggles
Briefly phase through collision and item threats.
House Round
A full boost for you and a smaller one for the rest of the live pack.
Corkscrew
Steal a reachable rival’s held item, or receive a consolation boost.

05 / GARAGE & BEERCASH

Build your house special.

Choose your body, weight class, paint and race number, then open the Custom Shop for wheels, toppers, stickers, underglow and effects. The 3D preview shows your selection before you race.

If the wallet is unavailable or a purchase is being checked, follow the shop’s status message. Historical purchases are not restored simply by typing the same driver name. Race rewards depend on the server’s earning settings.

06 / WATCH THE RACE

One source. The whole race.

The broadcast carousel rotates between a lightweight 2D view, a 3D director camera and a whole-course overview during racing. It holds the 2D view for the lobby, countdown and results.

For OBS, add a 1920 × 1080 Browser Source using this site’s /broadcast address. The page is transparent so it can sit over your stream. Spectator views don’t enter a kart.

Choose a fixed view or change the rotation

Use 2D overlay, 3D director or 3D overview for a fixed source.

For the carousel, add ?dwell=60 for one minute per view. Use ?views=3ddirector,3doverview to choose the racing playlist. The default dwell is 45 seconds; accepted values are 5–180 seconds. Lobby and results still use 2D.

07 / QUICK ANSWERS

Before the next lap.

Why am I watching instead of driving?

You may be waiting for the next grid or an available slot. Check the connection and queue message. Opening the lobby or a spectator link alone does not enter a kart.

Can I change from 3D to a playable 2D view?

Browser driving uses the 3D game. The lightweight 2D page is a spectator overlay. Press C to switch between chase and wide cameras in the game.

My game view stopped rendering. What now?

Wait for the graphics-recovery message. If a reload button appears, use it. For repeated problems, choose Stream Safe graphics on the next start. Reconnecting to a live race does not pause it.

Where are the original tracks?

The imported originals are unavailable in normal play while their corner and border problems remain unresolved. Their source and saved records are preserved. Authored cups and enabled saved custom tracks continue without the unqualified imports.

Can I build a custom course?

Open the track editor to draw, edit, import and preview a course in 3D. Publishing to the live rotation requires configured operator access and a successful raceability check.
